BRISTOL-MYERS SQUIBB

An example of a global concept design for an event, where graphic design and set design come together to create a brand identity that is seen, lived and felt. We designed the corporate image and scenery of the Bristol-Myers Squibb conference.

BRISTOL-MYERS SQUIBB

Bristol-Myers Squibb is an American pharmaceutical company based in New York City. The company was formed in 1989 after the merger of its predecessors from Bristol-Myers and the Squibb Corporation. Bristol-Myers Squibb manufactures prescription pharmaceutical products in several therapeutic areas. Its mission is to “discover, develop and offer innovative medicines that help patients overcome serious diseases.”

Project

Within the services of Up To You Studio there is the global concept design, where graphic design and set design come together to create a brand identity that is seen, lived and felt in Events and meetings.

Under the order of American Express Meetings & Events, one of the most important companies in the organization of events, we designed the brand identity for the Bristol-Myers Squibb conferences.

For this, and always starting from its corporate manual, we carry out the graphic design of the applications required by the client, as well as the scenography of the event. We prepared the claim, which in marketing is the title, motto, slogan or memorable phrase of a brand or product. All the elements of brand presence were also studied and prepared for the guests and the event itself such as: signage, roll ups or totems, pamphlets, general stationery, accreditations + Lanyard, lay out, ppt template, audiovisual animation in the form of a storyboard, photocall and hospitality desk.

The scenography (the staging that conveyed the client’s briefing) and graphic design were both thought and designed for this occasion. For these types of projects, certain elements are designed for many different types of media. In this case, the molecular connections represented by hexagonal polygons created the symbolic element present in both the scenery and graphic design. Corporate colors are also applied in a clear way and take presence throughout the event. This, coupled with the rest of the designs, helps the global concept design make sense so the brand and the event are recognizable at all times.
