Gremi Fusta i Moble

The oldest news about the carpenters in Barcelona is from the year 1,257, and its history continues throughout these eight centuries. There are extensive references and proof of the relationship of carpenters and cabinet makers with Catalonia and their constant struggle to ensure the quality of the trade and ensure their future. After all, woodis an extremely important part of the our world and we have to take care of it.

The challenge of redesigning the brand identity

Up To You Studio achieved a very interesting graphic design for this project, given the age of the company, redesigning the brand identity was a challenge. And sometimes small changes are more effective than large ones. Creating change while not to losing their centennial character was of vital importance.

For the brand identity, we opted to maintain elements of the original logo, but adapting them with a new typography to get a newer one. Other graphic design works such as internal stationery, posters and other elements were also created.

Our jobs

Apart from this initial work, we are pleased to create their yearbook every year. A magazine-book that, year after year, has more prestige within the wood sector in Spain. One of its characteristics at the level of graphic concept is the use of the letter A (yearbook) on its cover, and this is that each year varies in shape.

Working with entities with such solera is not always easy from the point of view of graphic design changes, but today we can say that the Guild has been updated in brand identity and continues to evolve and innovate every day so that the sector of the wood continues in a clear and sustainable way.
