We have done the interior design and managed the works of the most recent Star Alliance lounge in the FCO Airport in Rome. The interior design created specifically for this flagship company, one of the world’s largest global airline alliances, reaffirms the elegance and exclusivity that Star Alliance members expect to find in their VIP lounges. Star Alliance
Star Alliance is the main air alliance in the world. Its 27 partner airlines offer access to more than 1,000 VIP lounges worldwide, which provide passengers with quiet and exclusive spaces to work or relax before their flight.
Located at the Leonardo da Vinci International Airport in Rome, this new Premium VIP lounge is intended forfirst class and business class passengers.
Star Alliance has cooperated with Aviapartner and Aeroporti di Roma (ADR) to renovate the interior design of an existing lounge, creating the first Star Alliance lounge at this airport.
Design
The design of this VIP lounge stands out for its balance and the sense of harmony and elegance that its materials, shapes and light transmit. This VIP lounge follows the central design palette of Star Alliance lounges worldwide, based on comfort, quality and functionality.
This new VIP lounge highlights the “local flavors” that reflect the city and the country in which it is located. We wanted to give special emphasis to the importance of design in this country so the furniture is 100% Italian.
The walls, with high quality black and white images of the city and its inhabitants, are elements of great visual impact that help add personality and provide a sense of belonging.
This same feeling is conveyed through the press display which is configured as an area designed for exhibition, with local art pieces which were sought out to represent the culture.
How is this VIP lounge?
This VIP lounge has a capacity of about 130 passengers. It has specially designed areas for passengers to work, eat and drink, relax or socialize. It also has USB devices and plugs in each seat to ensure that users’ electrical devices are fully charged before the flight.
This interior design project has been oriented for the comfort of the traveler and shows attention to the experience of a Premium VIP lounge, and the company’s target of premium class. With premium class guests, special importance has been given to the finer details of this new lounge.
